The doctors and staff of Northeast Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center are committed to providing the highest quality Oral and Maxillofacial surgical care in a comfortable setting, with compassion and respect for every patient.
Oral and Maxillofacial surgery requires many additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Dr. Shannon and Dr. Hunter manage a wide variety of problems relating to the jaw, mouth, teeth and facial regions. Our premier practice specializes in dental implant surgery, wisdom teeth removal, facial trauma and reconstructive jaw surgery. We also evaluate, diagnose and treat facial pain, obstructive sleep apnea and facial fractures.
Each doctor has had extensive training and experience in anesthesia and pain management. From local anesthesia, oral and conscious sedation to intravenous and general anesthesia, our doctors will help you decide which anesthetic would be best for you. Dr. Shannon and Dr. Hunter are board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Each has numerous years of experience teaching young dentists to become Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons. Our doctors are certified in: Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
At Northeast Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, our staff is trained to provide a relaxed, comfortable environment for every patient; They assist patients with scheduling appointments, creating individualized treatment plans and understanding your health insurance coverage — including any out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your health plan(s).
Our surgical staff is comprised of experienced, certified surgical assistants, who provide constant patient care and monitoring from the time a patient enters a treatment room until the patient exits our office. Our entire office staff routinely trains in emergency drills, in addition to continuing education and testing. They are highly trained in outpatient anesthesia techniques and all are certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
